My poetry mixes sacred and profane, for I don't believe God could be limited to such human categories. That said, I've tried to give you some helpful themes to explore. All is ultimately in search of the divine in the midst of the mess, though sometimes with less-than-stellar language from a sinner on the Way.
Poems that grapple with theological themes—Mystery, revelation, love, grace, sin, regret, redemption, theodicy, etc.

Rather embarrassing personal poems that might be helpful to others trying to process their own angst or deep feelings about love, marriage, and parenthood.
Poetry that wrestles with abuse, neglect, death, loss, and grief. Warning: it ain’t pretty.

Poems on everyday things, like “Ode to a Grecian Urn” or “To a Waterfowl,” only not Keats or Bryant.
Random poetry that doesn’t fit into any other category here, i.e. a poetry grab bag or mystery surprise box.
